Safe Families for Children is an organization that creates a safe space for children while their parents deal with a temporary crisis situation. This keeps the children out of the Child Welfare System and allows the parents to retain custody.

Cody Fort is the Supervisor at Safe Families for Children and Koral Lorenson along with her husband and family serve as a host family for the organization. We talk about the mission of Safe Families and how they are able to serve vulnerable families around the United States. We also talk with Koral about being a host family. She and her husband have volunteered with Safe Families for the last 6 years and we discuss the blessings and difficulties that come with hosting a child in your home.
