My guest today is Daniel Dluzneski. Daniel worked with the Secret Service for 24 years! Let's just acknowledge the incredible service record on that alone. He was part of the team that protects the highest ranking member of our government for over two straight decades! From all accounts the Secret Service is one of the most particular in the world when it comes to picking their officers. Not only that, but he was part of the bomb unit, partnered with a service dog, and directly responsible for the safety of the Presidents, Vice Presidents, and their families.
I'd have thought the man would want a break after all that, but instead he took his talents over to the public school systems to ensure our nations children were being better protected at a time when it's all we hear about on the news.
Daniel has now written a book called "The First Five Minutes: A school shooting survival guide for administrators and teachers" and is trying to get everyone involved in the conversations that can reduce tragedies anywhere in the world.
Let's hope for the best, and prepare for the worst.
