In episode 1, Sarah Chopra shares her research findings on the menopausal experience in different cultures using the bio-psycho-social model. Women are living longer, staying in the workforce longer, and will spend up to 30-40 years of their life in either the menopausal transition and postmenopause. In 2030, there will be 1.2 billion people experiencing perimenopause and menopausal symptoms. Some countries are recognising this growing demographic and establishing government policies to support women during this phase of their life.
