Tarunjeet Bhatia, CPA, CGA, is chief financial officer with the Association of Neighbourhood Houses BC. ANHBC is a volunteer-driven, community-based nonprofit organization committed to enhancing neighbourhoods in British Columbia. In 2006, under Tarunjeet’s leadership, ANHBC started providing comprehensive financial and payroll services to other charitable organizations in British Columbia. It’s a first-of-its-kind social enterprise first and foremost, providing high-quality financial services to nonprofits who can’t afford to hire their own accounting teams. It’s a difference-making idea, put into practice, that helps support organizations deliver on programs needed in the community. It also provides revenue for ANHBC.
