On the first episode of season 4, we talk to Saif Alsaegh. Saif is a United States-based filmmaker from Baghdad and is a part of a Chaldean indigenous minority in Iraq. Much of Saif’s work deals with the contrast between the landscape of his youth in Baghdad, growing up in the 1990s and early 2000s, and the U.S. landscape where he currently lives. He received his MFA in film from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
You can find Saif’s work on his website (https://www.saifalsaegh.com/) and Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/saifalsaegh/)
