Aurelio, a Galician traveler, has just arrived in Rio de Janeiro and is in search of authentic Brazilian cuisine. He turns to the hotel receptionist, Antônio Carlos, for recommendations and is suggested a restaurant called Arroz com feijão. Antônio Carlos provides him with a map and directions to the restaurant, which specializes in serving typical Brazilian food. Aurelio is intrigued by the prospect of trying out the feijoada, which is served on Wednesdays during lunchtime. With the guidance of Antônio Carlos, Aurelio sets out to savor the flavors of Brazil.
