ABOUT THIS MESSAGE:
Today we celebrate “All Saints Day.” God grants the status of “saint” to every believer. It might appear that status is of little practical value. If you achieve the status of “billionaire” your life will most likely be vastly different than most others, in good ways. But if God calls you a saint, just like everyone else you will struggle with trials, temptations, and sin. Being a saint does not make life easier. It makes it more difficult as we struggle in a world that is hostile to God. This week we get to peer with the eyes of faith to see the saints enjoying glory in the place where “there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain. Sainthood truly is a precious gift, and we will soon join that scene. And that gives us stamina to continue!
