Sakamichi Brewing is located in Tachikawa, Tokyo. Each episode Daniel and Matthew pick a beer or two from the menu and talk about it a bit.
This week we drank a can of Zoigl-Weiss, a deliciously light and refreshing German style wheat ale from Zoiglhaus Brewing in Portland, Oregon. A Zoiglhaus is a traditional German style of brewing that dates from the middle ages. Local citizens share a communal brewhouse to brew beer, then take turns serving it to their neighbors from the comfort of their own homes.
That sense of community is central to what we are trying to achieve at Sakamichi Brewing, so we also talked a bit about the kind of employment opportunities that we want to create as we grow and (hopefully) develop our brewery.
