0306 - Salad with Blanche on the side

In episode 6 of Season 3, we will discuss Blanche Taylor Moore. She is an American murderer and suspected serial killer. Blanche was born in 1933 and is currently sitting on death row, awaiting execution in a North Carolina prison. She was convicted of the 1986 arsenic poisoning of her boyfriend, BUT she is suspected of also killing her mother-in-law and her first husband, as well as the attempted murder of her second husband in 1989. As with many convicted murderers & serial killers; Blanche had a very rough upbringing. Her father was an abusive alcoholic who would pimp her out to pay his gambling debts. When she was old enough to start her own relationships/get married, she found men with the same qualities as her father. Another thing that we often see with serial killers. Throughout the proceedings, Blanche was adamant about not killing anyone & never using arsenic poison…even though there were 53 witnesses stating otherwise. She was convicted on November 14, 1990…the jury recommended the death penalty just three days later. Then on January 18, 1991; the judge agreed with the jury’s recommendation and sentenced Blanche Taylor Moore to die by lethal injection. It has been 29 years and Blanche has avoided death…still sitting in the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women.
