Salem robbery shooting suspects arrested in Woodburn

At 5:30 a.m., this morning, Detectives detained two suspects believed to be responsible for last night's shooting on Jean Court NE in Salem. The pair were arrested after the Marion County SWAT Team served a search warrant at the Budget Inn Hotel at 485 North Pacific Highway in Woodburn.
Detectives believe both men came to Jean court to rob William White Jr., age 20, for marijuana, tragically Mr. Whites father, Brent White, age 44, ended up in the middle of the robbery and was shot during the confrontation. Brent White died last night as a result of the gun shot he received during the robbery.
The Sheriff's Office is not prepared to release the identity of either suspect in this case at this point. Once both men have been booked into the Marion County Jail an additional release will follow.
