Mark 1:14-15, Matt 4:17, Luke 14:11, Luke 14:15-24; Matt 5:1-12, 13-16 The kingdom of heaven is near. It is not like other kingdoms--based on politics or military might. It is something very different. Everywhere Jesus went, the kingdom of heaven broke through. The sick were healed, those that mourned were comforted, and the poor found relief. Jesus invited us to be the salt and light to the world--for us to give the world a taste and to see what the kingdom of heaven is like.
