Matthew 5:13 ¶ Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. AKJV
The Body of Christ is the salt of the earth. We choose not the things of the world to place our security in. We are to stand on a firm foundation that is rooted in Jesus Christ. When the world sees us they should not see a reflection of similarity or familiarity like unto themselves. We are the salt and salt preserves and we are to be preserving the ways of the Lord Jesus Christ. The world is hostile to the ways of Jesus Christ! They are offended by His teachings.
The church today has hidden the truths that Jesus Christ has taught, and they do this to bring the world in. They don’t want to be offensive. They will water down the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Word of Jesus Christ is offensive. James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
Jesus spoke the truth while He walked the earth and he was despised by the religious crowd. The same spirit of murder reins today in the so called houses of God. They don’t want to hear the preaching against sin. Know one wants to hear the truth because it will cause you to make a decision and the choice made by the masses is denial of any wrong doing and rejection of rebukes.
John 3:16-21 16 ¶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 ¶ He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. AKJV
Sin will bind you and keep you in spiritual restraints that will cutoff your communication with God and ultimately destroy you. Proverbs 4:19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. Millions are stumbling through life and are in bondage because of willful sins. The Lord has provided a way through His Son Jesus Christ but all of the distractions of life continue to hinder you from repenting of your sins. Little secrets that you keep from your husband or wife, parents and loved ones, those are the hidden sins that are cutting off communication from you and the Lord. Pride destroyed the cities of Soddom and Gomorrah and pride has caused you to refuse the truth. The easy way is to keep sins hidden.
Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. AKJV
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. AKJV
The people of God must continue to seek the Lord daily and to be in prayer for our loved ones and those who are lost. At this point in time and for as close as we are to the retuning of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ we had better be keeping short account with Him and be in communion daily with Him. The wickedness and rebellion is continuing and growing worse in our societies and we had better be on our knees seeking the Lord.
Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
