Pastor Jeremy brings a Wednesday night message to Glendive.
1 Cor 11:1 Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.
Col 4:5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside,
redeeming the time. 6 Let your speech always be with
grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you
ought to answer each one.
Salty in today's language means someone who is
aggravated or annoyed.
Col 4:5 (NLT) Live wisely among those who are not
believers, and make the most of every opportunity. 6
Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that
you will have the right response for everyone.
Col 4:5 (Message) Use your heads as you live and work
among outsiders. Don’t miss a trick. Make the most of
every opportunity. Be gracious in your speech. The goal
is to bring out the best in others in a conversation, not
put them down, not cut them out.
Salt is used to:
Preserve - are we preventing decay?
Enhance flavor - are we adding life?
Soften water - are we softening or hardening?
Melt ice - are we melting an icy conversation?
Prevent infection - do we help heal and prevent an
infection from spreading?
Example of me reading my Bible because the people I
was around were excited about reading theirs.
