Salvation Comes from the Lord

Salvation Comes from the Lord

“Salvation belongs to the Lord; may Your blessing be upon Your people.” - Psalm 3:8.

David was surrounded. His own son was chasing him. Friends had betrayed him. The people whispered, “There is no salvation for him in God.” But even in the middle of chaos, David stood firm in faith and declared: “Salvation comes from the Lord.”

Notice this: he didn’t say, “I can save myself,” or “My soldiers will protect me.” David understood that human strength has limits, but God’s power does not. How many times do we try to fix everything on our own—with effort, with plans, with shortcuts—and when it all falls apart, we finally realize that without God, nothing stands.

Salvation—not just of the body, but of the soul—comes from Him. And that’s exactly what the enemy wants you to forget. He whispers, “It’s too late for you.” But the same God who rescued David in the wilderness, who restored Peter after his denial, and who freed Paul from prison… is the same God who wants to save you.

Maybe today you’re tired of fighting alone. Tired of looking strong on the outside but broken on the inside. God is saying: “My child, stop trying to replace Me. I am your salvation.” When David prayed this psalm, he didn’t just think about himself. He asked God’s blessing over all His people—even those who had turned against him. That’s the heart of someone transformed by grace.

And now it’s your turn. No matter how far you’ve fallen or how long you’ve been away, salvation still comes from the Lord. Today, He’s calling you to trust Him, to surrender completely, to stop fighting in your own strength and say: “Lord, I need You. Save me. Change my story.” Because only those who understand that salvation belongs to the Lord can truly rest.

Pray now. Ask God to save you—not just from a problem, but from yourself. And when He lifts you up, let His blessing flow through your life to others.
