SALVATION

Listen Later

The holiday season is upon us and Emunah co-hosts

Tamara and Charisse decided to repeat this popular episode from Season 1: Salvation: What does it mean to be saved? It first aired on July 21, 2023.

Sisters Marilyn Dunston and Paula Vineyard, two adult

Sunday School teachers at First Baptist Church of Glenarden International in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, energetically tackle this often-misunderstood topic that is essential to the Christian walk.

When asked What is salvation? Marilyn said, God

redeeming us, rescuing us from the penalty and consequences of sin through the death of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

The relationship that develops between God and those

accepting Him as their Lord and Savior is explained in John 15: 5: I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in
Me, and I in him, bears much fruit: for without Me you can do nothing.

Paula added that Salvation is open to all mankind. She pointed to John 14: 6:

Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth and the

life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. She stressed that God is looking at the condition of your heart for salvation.
