Salvation is a ongoing and up-growing. Jesus saves us upon repentance, we go from being a lost sinner to being a saved sinner. But what happens next? How is our life different as a result of asking for salvation? There is an important "staying in Christ" that keeps us from being destroyed when God sends out His angels to gather out of His Kingdom all that defiles and all who do evil. Matthew 13:41.
