You might remember reading in the Gospel of Matthew 3:1-2 a man who was preaching in the wilderness, His name was John the Baptist, His message was simple and straightforward “Repent of your sins and turn to God!” Repentance is a prerequisite to receiving forgiveness from God which leads to God’s free gift of salvation.
