Israel completes the final cycle of Resist, Ruin, Repent, Rescue, Repeat in 1 Samuel 1-9. God raises up the final judge named, Samuel. Samuel is also the first prophet since Israel entered Canaan. During this final cycle, God transitions from the Judges to the Kings, and Israel finally gets the king they've always wanted...a king like all the other nations.
