Good morning, surfers! This is your San Diego surf zone forecast coming at you fresh from the National Weather Service. Let's dive into what the waves have in store for us today and tomorrow.

For Orange County Coastal Areas, we have a Beach Hazards Statement in effect until 4 PM today, so be aware out there. The Rip Current Risk is high, so keep an eye out for those tricky currents. Surf heights are ranging from 3 to 5 feet, with occasional sets reaching up to 7 feet. There's a slight chance of thunderstorms, but nothing we can't handle. Water temperatures are on the cooler side, between 55 to 60 degrees. And don't forget to check out those tides, with Newport Beach hitting a low of 0.5 feet at 8:56 AM. We've got a mix of west swell and south swell coming your way, so get ready to catch some waves!

Moving on to San Diego County Coastal Areas, a High Surf Advisory is in place until 4 PM today - so get out there and make the most of those waves. The Rip Current Risk is high here as well, so surf with caution. Surf heights are impressive at 6 to 8 feet, with some sets reaching 9 to 10 feet. There's a slight chance of thunderstorms to keep things interesting. Water temperatures range from 56 to 59 degrees, just cool enough to invigorate you. La Jolla will see a low tide of 0.4 feet at 8:52 AM, so plan your session accordingly. We're looking at a solid west swell to keep things exciting.
