Alright surfers and beachgoers, it's time for your wave-check report brought to you by the National Weather Service!

For all you Orange County Coastal Areas riders out there, today we've got a high rip current risk with surf heights ranging from 3 to 5 feet. Water temperatures will be between 58 to 60 degrees, so make sure you're prepared for a chilly dip. Expect a swell coming in from the 200 degrees direction.

Looking ahead to Saturday, the rip current risk drops to moderate with surf heights between 2 to 4 feet. No thunderstorms expected, but keep an eye out for a mixed swell from 190 and 260 degrees. Tides at Newport Beach will see some action with highs and lows throughout the day.

Now shifting our focus to San Diego County Coastal Areas, today brings a moderate rip current risk with 2 to 4 feet surf heights. Water temperatures will be slightly higher at 58 to 62 degrees. Expect a swell coming from 210 degrees.

As we move into Saturday, the rip current risk remains moderate with similar surf heights of 2 to 4 feet. No thunderstorms on the radar, but watch out for mixed swells from 210 and 280 degrees. Tides at La Jolla will see fluctuations throughout the day, so plan your surf session accordingly.
