Surf's up, wave riders! Get ready for a wild ride along the Southern California coastline. Today's looking mellow with gentle 1 to 3 foot swells rolling in from 260 degrees near Orange County and 270 degrees off San Diego. Water temps are sitting pretty between 56 and 61 degrees - wetsuit weather for sure.

But hold onto your boards because Thursday is about to get epic! We're talking serious surf action with waves climbing 3 to 6 feet and potentially hitting 7 foot sets off San Diego. The swell direction is shifting slightly to 270 and 280 degrees which means some seriously sweet wave conditions.

Rip current alert - tomorrow's gonna be high risk. Translation for beach lovers: these currents are no joke. Experienced surfers might find some killer breaks but newbies should definitely think twice before paddling out. The ocean is serving up some serious power.

Tide watchers take note - Newport Beach and La Jolla are seeing some impressive tide ranges. Early morning low tides dipping down to just 0.1 feet, with morning highs cruising around 5 feet. Perfect for those sunrise sessions.

No thunderstorms in the forecast, so Mother Nature's keeping things clean and predictable. Whether you're a seasoned shredder or just looking to catch some rays, Thursday promises some heart-pumping ocean energy. Stay safe, respect the waves, and enjoy the ride!
