Surf's up, beach lovers! Here's your coastal breakdown for Southern California this weekend.

We're looking at some mellow conditions along Orange County and San Diego's coastlines. Orange County's waves are sitting pretty at a gentle 1 to 3 feet today and tomorrow - perfect for casual boarders and beach loungers. Water's chilly but not freezing at 54 to 57 degrees.

San Diego's bringing slightly more action with 2 to 4 foot surf and a spicy west swell rolling in from 280 degrees. Surfers take note: there's a moderate rip current risk in San Diego, so stay alert and watch those underwater currents.

Tide watchers will enjoy some nice vertical movement. Newport Beach sees high tides around 5.2 feet in the morning and evening, with a low dip to -0.7 feet midday. La Jolla follows a similar rhythm with 5.0 foot highs and -0.8 foot lows.

No thunderstorms are expected to crash our beach party, which means clean conditions for water enthusiasts. Water temps are holding steady in the mid-50s - wetsuit recommended.

Safety first: While rip current risks are low in Orange County, San Diego has a moderate warning. Translation? Stay aware, know your limits, and maybe check in with local lifeguards before paddling out.

Catch those waves and enjoy the coastal vibes responsibly!
