Surf's up, wave riders! This is your coastal conditions report coming to you live from Southern California.
Today's looking like a mellow day along Orange County's beaches with a small 1 to 3 foot surf rolling in from the west. Water temps are sitting pretty cool at 55 to 58 degrees, so grab that wetsuit. Rip current risk is low, which means you can breathe easy, but always stay alert.
Newport Beach will see a high tide at 4.5 feet around 1:21 AM and a low tide at 0.9 feet by 9:28 AM. Those west swells are cruising in at a smooth 270 degrees.
Meanwhile, down in San Diego County, things are getting a bit more spicy. We've got a moderate rip current risk with surf heights ranging from 2 to 4 feet and some sets pushing up to 5 feet. Water's a touch warmer here at 58 to 60 degrees.
La Jolla's tidal dance includes a high tide of 4.4 feet at 1:12 AM and a low tide of 0.8 feet around 9:21 AM. Those west swells are coming in hot at 280 degrees.
For Friday, expect very similar conditions - small consistent waves, cool water, and those steady west swells. No thunderstorms on the horizon, just clean ocean vibes.
Stay safe, stay stoked, and enjoy those waves!
