Surf's up, beach lovers! Let's dive into today's coastal conditions along Southern California.

Orange County is looking mellow with a clean 1 to 3 foot surf rolling in from the west at 270 degrees. Water temperatures are sitting comfortably between 54 and 59 degrees - wetsuit optional but recommended. Rip current risk is low, so newbies and seasoned surfers can breathe easy.

Newport Beach tides are putting on a dramatic show today with four key movements. Early risers catch the first low tide at 1.0 feet around 3:12 AM, followed by a morning high of 4.7 feet at 9:00 AM. The afternoon brings another low at near zero feet, then caps off with an evening high tide peaking at 4.7 feet.

Cruising down to San Diego County, things get slightly more interesting. We're looking at a 2 to 4 foot surf with a moderate rip current risk. The swell is coming in from a slightly different angle around 280 degrees, with hints of another direction mixing in at 220 degrees - creating some dynamic wave patterns for the adventurous.

La Jolla's tide schedule mirrors Newport's rhythm with similar highs and lows. Water temperatures are nearly identical, hovering between 55 and 59 degrees.

Bottom line: Beautiful surfing conditions across Southern California with manageable waves and minimal hazards. Grab your board and enjoy the ocean!
