Surf's up, coastal crew! The National Weather Service is dropping some sweet beach intel for Southern California's wave riders.

Orange County and San Diego are looking at some mellow conditions today. We're talking about a surf playground with waves hovering between 1 to 3 feet - with occasional sets pushing up to 4 feet. Not exactly monster swells, but definitely enough to keep things interesting.

Water temperatures are sitting in the chilly zone, ranging from 58 to 62 degrees. You'll want that wetsuit, wave warriors. Newport Beach and La Jolla have some killer tide action happening with multiple low and high tides throughout the day.

For Orange County, expect a smooth south swell rolling in around 190 degrees. San Diego riders get a bonus with a mixed swell coming from 210 and 280 degrees - giving you some nice variety in wave direction.

Rip current risk is low today, which means conditions are pretty chill. While life-threatening currents are unlikely, stay alert and use your ocean smarts. Always scan the water, know your limits, and respect the marine environment.

No thunderstorms on the horizon, so you can focus on catching those clean lines and enjoying some quality ocean time. Whether you're a seasoned local or a weekend warrior, today's surf forecast promises some relaxed beach vibes.

Grab your board, check your gear, and get ready to ride. Stay stoked and stay safe out there!
