Surf's up, wave riders! Get ready for a coastal adventure along Southern California's stunning shorelines. The National Weather Service is calling for some sweet conditions that'll have you itching to grab your board.

Orange County and San Diego are serving up moderate rip current risks today, so stay sharp out there. We're looking at consistent surf heights ranging from 2 to 4 feet, with some killer sets pushing up to 5 feet. Those mixed swells are coming from multiple directions - Orange County's seeing waves from 200 and 270 degrees, while San Diego's got incoming swells from 220 and 280 degrees.

Water temperatures are chilly but totally manageable - Orange County's sitting between 60 and 66 degrees, and San Diego's running a bit cooler at 58 to 63 degrees. Wetsuit recommended, surf enthusiasts!

Tide watchers will want to plan their beach day around some interesting water levels. Newport Beach and La Jolla both have four tide shifts today, with low points hitting around early morning and afternoon, and high tides rolling in during morning and evening hours.
