Surf's up, coastal crew! Get ready for some serious wave action along the Northern and Central California coastline. Today's looking like a sweet setup for board riders and beach lovers alike.

We're tracking solid northwest swells rolling in at 6 to 9 feet for Sonoma, Marin, and Santa Cruz County beaches. San Francisco and San Mateo coastal zones are showing some variety with northwest facing beaches hitting 6 to 9 feet while south facing spots will see a more mellow 3 to 5 feet.

Monterey Bay and Big Sur are serving up a slightly more relaxed 4 to 7 foot surf height perfect for intermediate riders. Water temperatures are hovering around a chilly 53 to 55 degrees so grab that wetsuit!

Wind conditions are predominantly northwest and ramping up through the day. Expect breezes starting around 6 to 14 miles per hour and climbing to 16 to 20 miles per hour by afternoon. Those northwest winds will keep things crisp and potentially choppy.

Weather-wise we're looking at partly cloudy skies with some patchy fog in the mix. Temperatures will range from a cool 52 to a surprisingly warm 87 degrees depending on your specific coastal location.

Tide schedules show multiple low and high points throughout the day. Morning low tides are hitting around 0.4 to 0.9 feet while afternoon highs will reach between 3.5 to 5.4 feet.

One critical note: local authorities recommend checking beach conditions before heading out. Always prioritize safety and be aware of changing surf dynamics.

Catch those waves and stay stoked, California coast riders!
