Listen Later

Hey wave riders! This is your surf report dropping straight from the National Weather Service.

Northern and Central California are serving up some seriously tasty ocean conditions this weekend. Sunday's looking primo with surf heights ranging from 3 to 8 feet depending on your coastal zone. Sonoma and Marin are seeing modest 3 to 6 foot swells while Santa Cruz and San Francisco are scoring some gnarly 4 to 8 foot waves that'll get your adrenaline pumping.

Water temps are chilly but manageable - San Francisco is sitting around 53 degrees and Monterey Bay is a surprisingly warm 60 degrees. Winds will be westerly through both days mostly around 10 to 14 miles per hour which means clean wave faces and decent conditions for surfing.

Temperature-wise expect a classic Northern California mix - daytime highs between 52 and 72 degrees. Partly cloudy skies will dominate Sunday with a potential rain system rolling in Monday bringing mostly cloudy conditions.

Tide schedule is looking dynamic with some interesting low and high tide moments. Sunday's lowest tide hits around minus 0.1 to minus 0.2 feet in the morning while afternoon highs reach around 4 to 5 feet.

Monday brings slightly more challenging conditions with increased surf heights and a higher chance of rain. Winds will shift southwest and wave heights will remain solid at 3 to 8 feet.

Pro tip - always check local beach conditions and potential closures before heading out. Stay stoked and stay safe surfers!
