Alright surf hunters, buckle up for a gnarly coastal forecast that's about to drop!
Northern and Central California are serving up some seriously sweet wave action this weekend. Saturday's looking like a swell seeker's paradise with surf heights ranging from 4 to 8 feet depending on your coastal playground. Sonoma and Marin are sitting pretty with 4 to 7 foot waves, while San Francisco and Santa Cruz are cranking it up to a solid 5 to 8 foot range.
The wind's gonna be your dance partner - mostly Northwest and pretty consistent around 16 miles per hour. Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with temperatures cruising between the mid-50s and low 70s. Not too shabby for late May!
Water temps are gonna be chilly - hovering around 51 degrees near San Francisco, so grab that full wetsuit and some booties. Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay are slightly warmer with water temps in the mid-50s.
Tide schedules are looking dynamic with some nice low and high tide variations. Saturday's morning low tide hits around 3:50 AM, dropping to negative 0.3 feet, then climbing back up to a respectable 4.3 feet by late morning.
Sunday's forecast mellows out a bit with surf heights dropping to a more mellow 3 to 6 feet. Winds will calm down too, making for some potentially cleaner conditions.
Pro tip: Always check with local authorities about potential beach closures and stay safe out there, wave riders!
Catch you on the flip side!
