Surf's up, beach lovers! Hold onto your boards because today's conditions are looking wild across Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

We're starting with a high rip current risk through this afternoon, so surfers and swimmers need to exercise serious caution. Waves are cranking at around 6 feet across most regions, which means epic swells but potentially dangerous currents.

The San Juan and Northeast regions are seeing mostly sunny skies with scattered showers, and east winds will be ramping up from 5 to 15 miles per hour. Adrenaline junkies will want to pay extra attention to those turbulent waters.

Culebra is bringing some serious wind action with east winds hitting 15 to 20 miles per hour, creating monster waves that'll challenge even experienced surfers. Expect surf heights around 6 feet today, dropping to 4 feet tomorrow.

Virgin Islands are looking similarly spicy, with moderate rip current risks and 5-foot swells. St. Thomas and St. Croix will experience sunny conditions with isolated showers and consistent east winds between 15 to 20 miles per hour.

As we roll into the next few days, expect consistently exciting wave conditions hovering around 4 to 6 feet. Weekend forecast suggests slightly calmer waters with increasing shower activity.

Bottom line: Incredible surf potential, but seriously dangerous rip currents. Stay alert, respect the ocean, and maybe chat with local lifeguards before paddling out. Surf safe, surf smart!
