Surf's up, beach lovers! Get ready for a wild ride along Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands coastlines. Today's looking like a serious wave day with high rip current risks that'll keep even the most experienced surfers on their toes.

For San Juan and surrounding beaches, expect massive 6-foot swells crashing against the coast under mostly cloudy skies with numerous showers. East winds will be dancing between 5 to 10 miles per hour, creating some seriously gnarly conditions.

The Northwest and Northeast regions are seeing similar action - monster waves, high rip current warnings, and scattered showers that'll make your beach day both exciting and unpredictable. Aguadilla and Rio Grande surfers, watch those currents!

Virgin Islands aren't sitting this out either. St. Thomas and St. John are looking at impressive 6-foot surf with high rip current risks. The waves will be rolling in with east winds keeping things interesting.

Saturday brings some relief with moderate rip current risks and slightly smaller 4-foot waves. Expect a mix of partly sunny skies and scattered showers across most regions.

Weekend warriors, listen up - while the surf looks tempting, these are not conditions for casual swimmers. Experienced surfers and water sports enthusiasts should exercise extreme caution. Life jackets, buddy systems, and paying close attention to local warnings are your best friends today.

Stay safe, stay smart, and enjoy those epic Puerto Rican and Virgin Island waves!
