Surf's up, wave riders! Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands are serving up some serious swell this weekend. Hold onto your boards because we've got high-risk rip currents across most regions that are gonna test even the most seasoned surfers.

The northern and eastern beaches from San Juan to Culebra are looking at monster waves around 6 feet with intense conditions. Expect partly sunny skies mixed with scattered showers that'll keep things interesting. Northeast winds between 5 to 10 miles per hour will be pushing those waves hard.

Heads up, adrenaline seekers - the rip current risk is HIGH through late Sunday night. Translation: these waters are not for the faint of heart. Life-threatening currents are likely, so if you're not confident in your skills, maybe enjoy the view from the beach.

The northwestern regions like Aguadilla and Isabela are riding similar wave patterns with sunny conditions and isolated showers. St. Thomas and St. John are matching the vibe with potential 6-foot swells and high rip current warnings.

For our more mellow beach lovers, the southern regions like Ponce and Vieques are seeing smaller waves around 2-3 feet with lower rip current risks. Perfect for casual swimmers and those wanting a more relaxed ocean experience.

Pro tip: Always check local conditions, respect the warning flags, and when in doubt, don't go out. Stay safe, stay stoked, and catch those waves responsibly!
