Surf's up, beach lovers! Hold onto your sunscreen because today's forecast is bringing some serious wave action to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

We're looking at a high rip current risk through this afternoon, so beach-goers need to be extra cautious. Surf heights are cranking up to around 6 feet across most regions, creating an epic but potentially dangerous playground for water enthusiasts.

From San Juan to the Northeast, North Central, and Northwest coasts, expect partly sunny skies with scattered showers and east winds pushing 10 to 15 miles per hour. The wave conditions are rowdy - perfect for experienced surfers but definitely not recommended for casual swimmers.

Culebra and St. Thomas are seeing particularly intense conditions with massive swells and breezy east winds. Weekend warriors should consider watching from the beach today.

As we roll into Sunday, the energy settles down a bit. Rip current risks will drop to moderate, with surf heights mellowing to around 4 to 5 feet. Mostly sunny skies will replace today's scattered showers, making for more pleasant beach conditions.

Looking ahead to Monday through Wednesday, expect consistent east winds, surf heights around 4 to 5 feet, and a mix of sunny and partly cloudy skies with occasional isolated showers.

Bottom line: Stunning views, powerful waves, but proceed with serious caution. Stay safe, stay smart, and respect the ocean's power. Surf's calling!
