Surf's up, wave riders! We've got an epic forecast brewing for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands that'll have you both stoked and cautious.

Today's looking like a high-octane wave day with surf heights around 6 feet across most regions. From San Juan to Culebra, expect mostly sunny skies with a few scattered showers to keep things interesting. East winds are cranking between 10 to 20 mph, which means some serious wave action.

Rip current risk is HIGH today, especially from noon through late tonight. Translation: if you're not an experienced surfer, think twice before paddling out. These aren't your gentle Caribbean swells - we're talking life-threatening currents that can catch even seasoned riders off guard.

The northeast and central regions are seeing the most intense conditions, with consistently powerful waves and winds. Beaches in Rio Grande, Luquillo, and Arecibo will be pumping with energy.

As we roll into Monday, things mellow slightly. Surf heights drop to around 4-5 feet, and the rip current risk shifts to MODERATE. Still challenging, but slightly more manageable for intermediate surfers.

The rest of the week looks consistent - sunny days, scattered showers, and east winds ranging from 10 to 20 mph. St. Croix and Culebra are looking particularly spicy, with some days promising 5-6 foot swells.

Gear up, stay alert, and respect the ocean's power. Catch you on the waves!
