Surf's up, beach lovers! Get ready for a wild weekend of waves across Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. We're looking at some serious surf action with high rip current risks that'll keep even the most experienced ocean enthusiasts on their toes.

Today and Sunday, most coastal areas are expecting surf heights around 6 to 7 feet - that's some serious wave power! San Juan, Northeast Puerto Rico, and the North Central regions are maxed out with high rip current risks. Culebra and St. Croix are also seeing some intense maritime conditions with east winds howling around 20 miles per hour.

The weather's playing a classic Caribbean game - partly sunny skies with scattered showers and the occasional thunderstorm throwing in some drama. Expect east winds dancing between 10 to 20 miles per hour, creating those perfect turbulent conditions that'll challenge surfers and swimmers alike.

For the more cautious beach-goers, pay extra attention in areas near groins, jetties, reefs, and piers - these spots can be treacherous even when the overall risk seems low. St. Thomas and St. John will see the rip current risk escalate from this evening through late Sunday night.

The forecast stays pretty consistent through midweek - surf heights around 4 to 6 feet, mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions, and those persistent east winds. Southwestern and southeastern Puerto Rico will experience slightly calmer conditions with moderate rip current risks.

Bottom line: If you're hitting the water, bring your A-game, respect the ocean, and stay alert. These waves are not for the faint of heart!
