Listen Later

Surf's up, wave riders and beach enthusiasts! We're looking at some seriously epic conditions across Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands that'll have adrenaline junkies and cautious beachgoers alike taking notice.

Hold onto your boards because the next few days are bringing massive surf with heights ranging from 6 to 8 feet - these are not your average waves! The entire region is under a high rip current risk through Saturday afternoon, which means extreme caution is key.

Expect strong easterly winds hammering the coastlines at 20 to 30 miles per hour, creating challenging marine conditions. From San Juan to Culebra, from St. Thomas to St. Croix, these winds are going to be churning up some serious oceanic energy.

Today kicks off with mostly cloudy skies transforming into partly sunny conditions, accompanied by scattered showers. As we roll into Thursday, expect mostly sunny skies with continued scattered shower activity. The surf will remain massive and intense.

Friday looks particularly wild with surf heights potentially hitting 8 feet around the Northwest and St. Croix areas - perfect for experienced surfers but definitely not recommended for casual swimmers. The winds will remain fierce, creating a dramatic maritime landscape.

By Saturday, we'll see a slight decrease in wave intensity, with surf around 5-7 feet and continuing east winds. Sunday brings more mellow conditions with smaller 3-5 foot waves and lighter winds.

Bottom line: If you're not a seasoned water athlete, admire these waves from the safety of the beach. For experienced surfers, this is your playground - but always respect the ocean's power and unpredictability.

Stay safe, stay stoked, and enjoy the spectacular maritime show!
