Have you ever thought about what your caretaker must be going through? Chances are that yes, you have. But your diagnosis is so overwhelming that you both decided to fall into a new routine. You both establish a new normal to keep the faith that you'll both come out of this ok.
But that doesn’t mean that you, as the patient, don't care about your caregiver. Whether that person is your spouse, your parent, or even a really good friend, your caregiver is carrying an immense weight on their shoulders. And today, we’re going to talk about it.
In this week’s episode, we’re talking about the other side of the bed and what your caregiver carried while you were fighting. While you were fighting cancer, getting chemo treatments, and trying to adjust to a new normal, they were right there with you. They were also scared, and hopeful, and exhausted, but they also had to be strong for everyone else. So today, we’re going to explore and honor those feelings.
Tune in to hear about a conversation I had with my husband about being my caregiver, and how that affected him when I was diagnosed.
