Sanctification

Listen Later

In order to perform the Christian duties, one must be sanctified. Many will think they are doing His will but in their end, God will tell them that He never knew them.

Sanctified means, set apart. More importantly, separated from evil. The question is not about what's on the inside for if you've been saved, God dwells within. The truth is, is that the outside is flesh and it fails daily will always fail until it's made into a heavenly body.

2 Cor 6:17, a Christian should be different than the world.

Heb 10:14, for a Christian the inside (soul) is what's made new, the outside remains the same. The outward is a constant battle to bring under subjection.
2 Tim 1:12, we as Christians can not keep our salvation because it wasn't us that saved us. Once we are saved, we are always saved. We as humans have plaques that trouble the flesh. Lusts of the flesh cause us as humans to fall short of His perfectness. However, we must repent of our sins when the sins are realized and pointed out by God. God has never made a mistake therefore when He saved you, it wasn't a mistake and He will not take it back. Gods word has not changed and will not change.

We should remove ourselves from the worldly things. Most don't like to step away because it sets the up to be ridiculed. How is anyone to know that a Christian is a Christian if they do the same things as a lost person? There's a lot of Christians that want to get better. The reason is because they want to bless God, He's worth it! But, serving God brings forth works and that's what the world will see. Now salvation is NOT about works, works is the result of salvation.

Titus 3:8, sanctification and works are linked because you can't have works from God until you've been sanctified. We as Christian should follow, obey and serve Him because we are in a great debt because God has paid for our sins. Please stop and make sure you're not going along with the crowd. Did you know that someone is ALWAYS watching you?

Heb 10:24, you won't find a lot of talk about works in a Baptist church because it's easily confused for non believers. Just as its been said, works are the result of salvation. Works without salvation is just work and will not be recognized by Christ as works for Him in the end. Christians can't do the work of God on their own. In order to make Holy fruit, it has to start with something Holy.

Are you saved? One can't move to the next step unless they've been saved. Check your heart, have you been saved?
