Mrs. Turner, the EBONY MAGAZINE Literary Award Recepient for Short Fiction, recently released her Civil Rights children's book, "Beyond The Back of The Bus". Sandra born in the historically black town, Lawnside, New Jersey is continuing the Still family's legacy of abolitionism, civil rights and arts. Sandra Turner-Barnes is the executive director of the Camden County Cultural and Heritage Commission in New Jersey.
