In recognition of National Poetry Month , the 19 th annual Sanibel Poetry Fest takes place April 8 at the newly renovated Sanibel Island Public Library . This year’s event highlights the works of 18 poets from the island and around Southwest Florida. We’ll learn more about the event and hear from some of this year’s featured poets including Dorothy Brooks , Robert Hilliard and Joe Pacheco.
