As a project manager of DOME LOMBOK, Sanne shares what it is really like on the ground building the worlds most sustainable (and luxurious) homes.

A practical, hands on guy, Sanne developed his skills at furniture school in Amsterdam and went on to study industrial design at the design academy in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

Sanne worked with many artists, designers and firms in Holland, Belgium and Sweden, until he met the co-founders of DOME Lombok; David Paulin and Christian Göran. Sanne began designing the super-adobe domes and soon became project manager of the DOME project. Sanne now lives in Indonesia, designing and managing DOME.

“Meeting new people, exploring different cultures, and being curious towards life and myself, seem to trigger my constant drive to explore boundaries and the unknown. Creativity, ambition and passion are qualities every designer should possess. We have come a long way and we are developing a new concept in adobe domes and pushing boundaries with off grid living.”

Sanne is a dedicated, innovative, passionate, and energetic. He loves the creative process and won’t quit until vision is realised. He is always looking to explore eco- and green-tech solutions. He utilises and brings in the existing eco-technology to designs without compromising on aesthetics.
