A blend of Baroque architecture and 19th-century additions, such as its iconic clock, the arch symbolizes resilience, surviving the 1773 earthquakes. Today, it remains a cultural and historical landmark, central to Holy Week processions, daily life, and Antigua’s unique blend of colonial heritage and natural beauty.
