The legend of Santa Claus has developed over the years with many different storytellers adding their own piece to the story. The original inspiration came from a very generous monk born some time around 280 A.D. Legends of St. Nicholas good will traveled far and wide with different nations coming up with their own variations and giving the character different powers.
