Hello Coven! This week I'll be talking about Santería. Just a disclaimer: this is solely from an anthropological perspective. I greatly admire the religious practice, however I have no intention of incorporating it into my current practice. I wanted to learn more about Santería because of how prevalent it is here in Florida, especially in the southern part of the state which is very influenced by Cuban culture as well as other Caribbean and Hispanic cultures. It was very interesting to see some of the similarities between Santería and other Afican-based religions as well as some aspects of Italian folk magick. Plus I ramble about Beyonce a little, which I will do at any given opportunity (sorry not sorry). Anyway, if you'd like to learn a little bit about Santería, give this a listen!
