Sarah is one of just 6 Irish applicants, amongst a total of 300 women all vying for a prize of racing in the GT Cup series. The idea behind Formula Women racing is to provide training to women with limited or no racing experience and offer them the chance to take a place in the GT Cup racing series. It has been run previously in 2004 with over 10,000 applications and as it was so successful they decided to bring it back this year for a televised event. Sarah first became interested in racing at the age of 10 by her mother and has been obsessed ever since. She discovered Formula women through a motor sport podcast, It's a sport that requires passion for driving over experience when starting off.
