Police Minister Bheki Cele says the police and the justice department will look at implementing mechanisms that would make it impossible for perpetrators of crimes against women and children to get parole. Cele was speaking at the funeral service of murdered eight-year old Tazne Van Wyk at Elsies River on the Cape Flats. President Cyril Ramaphosa earlier visited the family of Van Wyk and undertook to review the parole system. The damage is done, what then for the family? Is it enough that the parole system should be relooked at?
