This week, we look at a very underground gem of an album from rap duo Sat-N-Smooth. We're talking about their debut and only album, The Awakening, released in 1993. Consisting of rappers Brad D and D-Bone, with production mostly handled by DJ Storm, this Houston based group dropped a classic southern funk LP that's so underground, it's damn near unheard of but definitely deserves to see the light of day.
