We’re going thru our Bennewitz tapes that we used in the film for the next couple of episodes of the SS&K podcast. In this installment we’ll listen to a tape recorded by Richard Haines of a conversation he had with the man himself, Paul Bennewitz.

Prior to getting on the horn with Bennewitz, Haines thought it best to call his CUFOS colleague Peter Sturrock, to get a sense of what he was getting into. It’s worth a listen and I feel like it’s a bit telling how they were approaching the Bennewitz case. That is with skepticism and snickers. Sturrock even remarks how the whole situation sounds more like an intelligence game rather than an alien encounter. Here’s the audio of that.

This episode gets pretty intense as there are beams and force fields, and even talk of an implant. Paul, bless his heart, gets pretty patriotic at the end of the call.

The next tape we will be going into is of UFO Researcher, Jim McCampbell, who meticulously reviews his notes that he took while he was on the phone with Paul in 1984.
