Saudi Arabia. In 1945, eight weeks before FDR's death, our President met aboard a U.S. destroyer in the Suez Canal with the King of Saudi Arabia, Abdul Aziz. That meeting and the agreements reached were to assure America would have whatever energy needs it requested from Saudi Arabia. In exchange, America would guarrantee the security of Saudi Arabia and the development of the Kingdom's vast oil reserves. That agreement has lasted for over seventy years but may not continue. Saudi Arabia has realigned itself with the Russian Federation receiving security. We should be very careful.
