A 48-year-old Queensland man tracked his stolen Mercedes using GPS after it was taken from a Wurundjeri shopping centre with his sausage dog Bailey inside. The theft led to a five-hour police chase across the Gold Coast, during which Bailey was dumped at a Narang shopping centre and later reunited with his owner. A 17-year-old was arrested and charged with car theft and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle after driving on spiked tyres for an hour along the Gold Coast Highway.
